Historic Chamber Building Opens Doors to Ukraine–Philippines Forum

Manila, Philippines — August 30, 2025. The Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands (CCPI), the country’s oldest business institution, successfully hosted a special forum featuring H.E. Yuliia Fediv, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Philippines, at the historic Chamber Building in Intramuros.
The event gathered Chamber members, business leaders, academe, and media for an insightful exchange on resilience, partnership, and global cooperation. In his keynote message, the Ambassador shared Ukraine’s journey, challenges, and aspirations for peace and development, highlighting opportunities for strengthened relations with the Philippines and the broader business community. “…,” Her Excellency said during the event.
CCPI President Jose Luis U. Yulo Jr. emphasized the Chamber’s continuing role in fostering international dialogue, saying, “Today’s event, the Chamber continues its heritage of advocacy for business and economic development, this time, between the Philippines and Ukraine.”
As part of the forum, the Chamber also unveiled a special exhibition on Ukraine’s history, located at the 2nd Floor Lobby of the Chamber Building, which will be open to the public from August 30 to September 2, 2025. The exhibition features photographs, documents, and cultural displays that showcase Ukraine’s heritage and resilience.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, fostering thoughtful discussions on diplomacy, peace, and economic cooperation.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands is the Provenance and the Oldest business institution in the Philippines, given Historical Markers by the NHCP in three languages, in recognition of its status since its founding through a Spanish Royal Decree on 9 April 1886.

In 2024, the Chamber printed the final version of its main Advocacy ECOMP-P5: Economic Compass Pillars 5, under the theme Navigating the Future, which aligns with the Chamber’s guiding principle: History Builds the Future.
