CCPI and CCIPF Sign Partnership Agreement to Strengthen Philippines-Portugal Economic Ties

Lisbon, Portugal— The Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands (CCPI) and the Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Portugal-Filipinas (CCIPF) are pleased to share a signed Memorandum of Cooperation, represented by the CCPI President, Jose Luis U. Yulo Jr.; CCIPF President, David Farca Cruz; and CCIPF Representative, Orlando Godoy Sia; witnessed by the Philippine Ambassador to Portugal, Paul Raymund P. Cortes; and CCIPF Chairman of the General Meeting, Antonio Viñal Menéndez-Ponte, on March 28 at the Philippine Embassy of Portugal in Lisbon.
This agreement marks a commitment by the Philippines and Portugal to boost economic ties and foster mutually beneficial relations and collaborations. We are looking forward to the successful outcomes of this partnership.
The Chamber (CCPI) would like to extend its gratitude to the Honorary Consul of Portugal to the Philippines, Ramon Gabriel C. Garcia Jr., for working hand-in-hand on very short notice in making this milestone possible. Garcia is also one of the Board of Trustees of the Chamber.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands is the Provenance and the Oldest business institution in the Philippines, given Historical Markers by the NHCP in three languages, in recognition of its status since its founding through a Spanish Royal Decree on 9 April 1886.

In 2024, the Chamber printed the final version of its main Advocacy ECOMP-P5: Economic Compass Pillars 5, under the theme Navigating the Future, which aligns with the Chamber’s guiding principle: History Builds the Future.
